Oranges and Lemons

So the sun finally started to make a return today. So much so that I was finally able to wear a yellow summer dress, an orange hat, my vintage white bag which I call Daisy (from Sue Ryder Retro and Vintage in Bridewell Alley), white plimsoles, a white tee and take my bare legs out for their first stroll in a very long time!

Next week is obviously forecast to be wonderful, and to be honest I couldn’t be happier about the prospect of being able to be outside more often and not feel drowned in layers. I’m mentally planning outfits to wear and places to visit. I honestly think an English summer is something else. The beautiful heat, the flowers, the lush green bushes, english gardens, butterflies, bees, happy birds, British seasides, barbecues… oh what could be better?

I’m going to London On Thursday, to go for a walk on Southbank and then to the Sky garden. Has anyone been? I’m really looking forward to it. Of course my camera will be in tow, so keep an eye out for some photos!

That tiny hat like thing is too adorable, and I need a yellow dress just like that! What a perfect outfit for the scenery.

I’ll have to do that hat, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that style before! (Which is pretty surprising, I’d thought I’d seen most every type of hat, but then again the US doesn’t really do hard much so there could be a world of them I’m missing out on! )
